LSU Alumni Offering $1,000 Scholarship to Seniors!

Graduating seniors across Avoyelles Parish will once again have an opportunity to earn financial assistance for their college education thanks to the Avoyelles Parish LSU Alumni Association.

The local alumni chapter has announced it will award one $1,000 cash scholarship for the 2025–2026 academic year to a high school graduate from the Class of 2026 who plans to attend a campus within the LSU system.

The scholarship is open to students who meet LSU’s admission standards, including the required minimum grade point average and ACT score. The award may be used at any branch of the LSU system and is intended to support local students as they continue their education within Louisiana.

Applications are available through high school counselors throughout Avoyelles. Completed applications must be submitted by April 10.

Members of the Avoyelles LSU Alumni Association encourage eligible seniors to apply and take advantage of the opportunity to receive support from local LSU graduates who remain committed to investing in the future of Avoyelles Parish students.
