Marksville High celebrates a roaring Homecoming 2025
Tiger Pride roared through the streets of Marksville last week as alumni, students, and families united for Marksville High School’s 2025 Homecoming celebration.
The weeklong festivities, held Oct. 21–25, included spirited dress-up days, alumni reunions, and the high-energy Homecoming parade and football game.
A Week of Spirited Fun
Students embraced the purple-and-gold tradition with a lineup of themed days including:
• Twin Day
• Western Day
• Throwback Thursday
• Spirit Friday
The hallways were filled with color, creativity, and Tiger pride all week long.
Parade Brings Alumni Home
Downtown Marksville came alive Thursday evening as alumni floats rolled through the streets, tossing beads and candy to cheering crowds.
The Classes of 1970, 1985, and 1995 were among those proudly represented, reminding the community that Tiger spirit never fades.
Friday Night Lights + Royalty
Fans packed Tiger Stadium on Friday for the football matchup against Vidalia.
The Homecoming Court was presented at 6 p.m., with this year’s king and queen crowned during the halftime ceremony, earning cheers from the sea of purple in the stands.
A Night to Remember
The celebration came to a close at the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night, held in the MHS gym under the theme:
“A Night to Remember”
Students dressed in their finest formal wear, dancing the night away and sealing a week of tradition, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
“Homecoming is about reconnecting with our roots.
No matter the year, we’ll always be Tigers.”
