🎄 Marksville's Magical Christmas Tree Lighting Returns! 🎉

A cherished holiday tradition continued in historic downtown Marksville on Dec. 6 as the Christmas Tree Lighting at the courthouse drew a large crowd of families, children and community supporters.

The event featured:

• Music
• Student performances
• Food vendors
• Christmas characters
• The lighting of the tree on the courthouse steps

There were many families and happy children enjoying the evening. It was community coming together in support of a long tradition that could have been cancelled this year since the police jury was short of funding.

Thanks to celebration partners and sponsors who helped bring the event back and thank you to the committee who supported the vision and to everyone who made it happen.
