State launches new online portal for Public Health Records

The Louisiana Department of Health’s Office of Public Health has launched a new online system allowing the public to easily access Engineering Services records.

The Records Information Management System (RIMS) enables users to search, download and share documents such as inspection reports, sample results and permitting records without submitting a formal public records request.

Officials say the portal is part of an effort to improve transparency and modernize public health services. Records from January 2024 to the present are currently available, with older files being added as they are digitized.

“This reflects our commitment to improving access and customer service statewide,” said OPH Assistant Secretary Tonya Joiner.

The system is available at rims.ldh.la.gov/rims.
