Chicago fugitive arrested Monday in Mansura

Man charged with wounding girlfriend and her grandparents before leaving Illinois

A suspect in a triple-shooting incident in Chicago was arrested in Mansura by by Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's detectives Monday.
Larry L. Sistrunk, 27, of Chicago was charged with three counts of aggravated battery in connection with the shooting of his girlfriend and her grandparents. All three survived.
Earlier this month APSO was called in for assistance by the U.S. Marshals Service after that agency received information that Sistrunk might be in Avoyelles Parish. State Police and the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office were also part of the multi-agency operation.
On Monday (March 15) the investigation led APSO detectives to an apartment on Mary Jane Street in Mansura, where Sistrunk surrendered without incident.
He is being held in Avoyelles Detention Center #1 pending extradition to Illinois to face charges in Chicago.
"The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office is proud to work with other state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies, and will continue to work with other agencies to bring fugitives to justice," Sheriff David L. Dauzat said.
Dauzat praised what he called a "team of dedicated professional law enforcement agents that worked together" to track and apprehend Sistrunk so he can be tried for the violent crimes for which he has been charged."
