Thursday update: cases remain at 178
(Thursday update: For the first time in about two weeks there were no new cases reported in Avoyelles Parish and the total remains at 178)
Each new day brings more positive test results in Avoyelles. Wednesday's report from the Louisiana Department of Health showed an increase of three from Tuesday, bringing the total to 178. There has still been only nine COVID-related deaths in the parish, with the last fatality being May 11.
