COVID deaths now 16; total cases 447

Avoyelles Parish added 29 new cases of COVID and recorded another death over the past 24 hours, according to the Louisiana Department of Health's daily update issued at noon Thursday. Avoyelles' official COVID numbers since the pandemic began in March is 447 positive test results and 16 deaths.

The state's totals as of noon Thursday were 71,994 cases with 3,247 deaths.
