Avoyelles Parish playoff theme is 'rematch' this Friday

Avoyelles vs. Bunkie, Marksville vs. Church Point
All three Avoyelles Parish high school football teams will play their 1st Round game of the playoffs this Friday, but there will only be two games in a round with a definite 'rematch' theme.
The parish's two Class 2A teams, No. 4 Avoyelles and No. 29 Bunkie, meet in a rematch of their Sept. 24 contest. That meeting ended with a 54-13 win by the Mustangs. The game will be at 7 p.m. Friday in Mustangs Stadium in Moreauville.
In Class 3A, Marksville is seeded No. 28 and will face No. 5 Church Point, who was the Tigers' opponent on Sept. 24. The Bears mauled Marksville, 50-0, in that matchup. The Tigers may want to forget that last encounter, but they will have to remember the way to Church Point Friday if they want any chance at revenge.
