Avoyelles, Bunkie win; Marksville loses
If a lopsided runaway is your favorite kind of football game, Avoyelles Parish's three contests were just right for you.
The Class AA Avoyelles Mustangs handled the Class AAAA Eunice Bobcats handily, 34-7. After a week off, the Bunkie Panthers returned to the gridiron and continued their winning ways with a 31-8 victory over the Pickering Red Devils.
The Alexandria Senior High Trojans defeated the Marksville Tigers, 49-7.
Avoyelles is 3-0 so far this season, Bunkie is 2-0 and Marksville is 0-3.
