2024 graduation ceremonies announced

Commencement ceremonies for the high school students in Avoyelles Parish have begun.
Avoyelles Public Charter High School in Mansura held graduation ceremonies for its senior graduates on Monday, May 6.
The other six schools with high school grads will host ceremonies over the next few weeks.
Each of the Avoyelles Parish School District high schools, including LaSAS, will hold commencement ceremonies at 7 p.m. in the Earl J. Barbry Convention Center at Paragon Casino Resort on the dates that have been assigned.
Red River Charter Academy in Mansura will celebrate its first graduating class since the school opened its doors.
Following are the graduation dates submitted as of press time:
May 17
6 p.m.- Red River Charter Academy in the school gymnasium, Mansura.
7 p.m.- St. Joseph Catholic School, Plaucheville in Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church.
May 20
7 p.m.- Bunkie Magnet High School
May 21
7 p.m.- La. School for the Agricultural Sciences (LaSAS)
May 22
7 p.m.- Marksville High School
May 23
7 p.m.- Avoyelles High School
