930 pm update: A fight incident during the Avoyelles Parish Jamboree led to a large group of concerned students and family members seeking information at the locked gates. No injuries resulted in the incident and the games were not delayed.
Near the end of the Bunkie vs Avoyelles 15 minute game, officers defused a fight incident in which, officials stated, had one member of the fight to flee the stadium.
As it was the end of the Avoyelles High teams appearance for the evening and growing concerns, some school buses with danceline, cheerleaders and band members made the decision to leave the facility a little early.
Many students and families also made the decision to leave before the Marksville vs Bunkie final 15 minute game of the night.
With a higher than normal crowd, gate watchers and officials closed the game entry/re-entry to allow buses to leave and the escalated fight to be subdued calmly.
After the buses were cleared, worried visitors who had gathered at the gate were slowly let in. By this time the final game was underway.
According to officials, despite rumors, at no time was there a dangerous threat to any player, participant or visitor to the game.
However there were two fights over the evening and the gates were closed for a period as a precaution.
The jamboree games were not stopped or delayed and no injuries from any incident was reported.
No other information or official report has been issued at this time.

All is safe at the Jamboree tonight after an earlier incident
