BESE approves new charter school for Avoyelles

The BESE Board has just voted Red River Charter to open a school in Avoyelles Parish. The vote was 7-4 in favor. About 100 people including the Avoyelles Parish School Board appeared in Baton Rouge this afternoon for the hearing.
