Body Found in Blue Town Community Identified as Marksville woman – Foul Play Verified

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, at approximately 1810 hours, the Avoyelles 911 Communication Center received a report of a body found in the Blue Town Community north of Marksville.
The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) located the body of the unknown female found in a wooded area near a field.
The body was sent for an autopsy. The autopsy revealed the cause of death was a homicide.
The body was further analyzed by the FACES Lab in Baton Rouge, LA. The Louisiana State Police Crime Lab analyzed DNA taken from the body resulting in the body being positively identified as that of 38-year-old Ashley Beauclair of Marksville. APSO Detectives continue to investigate the death of Beauclair.
