LDWF Announces Additional Road Closure in Grassy Lake Wildlife Management Area

Jan. 16, 2019 - Bayou Natchitoches Road past the Bayou Natchitoches concrete bridge has been closed on the north and south sides of the bayou in Grassy Lake Wildlife Management Area (WMA) due to flooding, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries announced.

Smith Bay Road and Cas-cas Road remain closed and more roads could be closed.

These road closures are deemed necessary to ensure safety and prevent road damage. Once the water recedes, LDWF will inspect, repair and reopen those roads when deemed safe for travel.

Grassy Lake WMA is located in northeastern Avoyelles Parish, approximately 12 miles from Bordelonville, Louisiana.
