Marksville man arrested in Rapides on charges of sexual battery, crimes against nature

According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, Michael Lee Shelton, 39 of Marksville, was arrested on Feb. 21 following allegations RPSO received the day prior.
He was taken into custody and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center for:

Two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles
Two counts of sexual battery
Two counts of aggravated crimes against nature

According to other online sources, Rapides SVU Detectives, along with the Department of Children and Family Services, and the Rapides Children's Advocacy Center all collaborated on the initial investigation.
Shelton was apprehended without incident and the case remains under investigation.
