Parish court proceedings closed Thursday and Friday

The Avoyelles Parish 12th Judicial District Court has announced all court proceedings will be closed Thursday and Friday.
In a joint statement released by Judge Kerry Spruill and William Bennett, "court will be clsoed, Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28 due tothe approach of Hurricane Laura in Avoyelles. Court shall re-open on Monday, August 31 unless further court closures are found necessary."
