Solar eclipse will not be visible in Avoyelles

If you've heard news reports about the "ring of fire" solar eclipse at sunrise tomorrow (June 10), there's no need for Avoyelles Parish readers to set their alarm clocks for the event.
The annular eclipse will not be visible in Louisiana. It will be a far north and East Coast eclipse.
Not to fret, however. You can mark your calendars for mid-day on April 8, 2024 when about 80-90 percent of the Old Sol will appear to be gobbled up by Luna.
