Town of Mansura – Boil Water Advisory & Critical Water Conservation Request

The transmission waterline that provides our water in the Town of Mansura broke yesterday morning, Tuesday November 21, 2023, and repaired later that day. Unfortunately, the same transmission waterline broke again early that Tuesday evening and remains out of service. Repair crews are scheduled to begin work to repair the waterline this morning and hopefully those repairs will be completed soon.
As of now we have not lost pressure in our Town of Mansura service area; however, the Boil Water Advisory issued yesterday will be extended at this time. Once the repairs have been completed we’ll collect water samples in the Town of Mansura and run laboratory tests to verify that the water is safe for consumption. Until we receive these test results customers should boil their tap water before consuming. Once the test results are completed and the Boil Water Advisory has been rescinded, we’ll send out a notification at that time.
More important, it is critical that our customers in the Town of Mansura conserve water at this time and we are asking our customers to significantly reduce their water use and refrain from using water until our system is back in normal operations.
