Chadrick L. James

Wanted Fugitive Captured by APSO

The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) and the United States Marshall Fugitive Task Force were actively assisting The Mansura Police Department in finding and apprehending 18-year-old Chadrick L. James of Marksville, LA. On August 26, 2022, James committed the offenses of Attempted Second Degree Murder and Illegal Carrying and Discharge of Weapons in Mansura, LA.
APSO Detectives received information and notified the U.S. Marshals Task Force. Acting on that information, the U.S. Marshals and Alexandria Police Department SWAT Team took James into custody after a brief foot pursuit. He was apprehended at approximately 1710 hours, on the 1000 block of 3rd Street in Alexandria. James was considered armed and dangerous.
Avoyelles Parish Sheriff David L. Dauzat would like to thank the concerned citizens and anonymous callers that continued to provide information to us which led to the capture of James. Thank you for your trust and confidence.
