Joseph E. Lamartiniere, 85, Echo

Joseph E. Lamartiniere was born on Thursday, August 6, 1936, in Echo, Louisiana; and passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at his home in Fifth Ward at the age of 85.
He was a very proud retired Vietnam Veteran with 22 years of service in the United States Army. After his military career, Joe was a truck driver for Roadway Express and Teamsters Local 568, where he later retired from. He served as a past Eucharistic Minister for Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Lecompte and Trinity Episcopal Church in Cheneyville. Joe loved visiting with family and friends, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
His is preceded in death by his parents, Flossie and Emmanuel Lamartiniere; stepfather, August White; one daughter, Frances Guillot; grandchild, Brent Guinn; his brothers, Harvey (Bib) Lamartiniere Sr, and Edward (Bubbie) White; and his sisters, Verlin Ponthieux, Mary Lamartiniere, Margaret Lamartiniere, and Faye Carraway.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years, Betty LaCaze Lamartiniere; children, Chris Lamartiniere, John Lamartiniere, Robert Lamartiniere (Alice), George Lamartiniere (Bridgette), Joseph (Tiny) Lamartiniere (Missy) and son-in-law, Raymond Guillot Jr; grandchildren, Ashley Guillot, Lane Lamartiniere, Emily Lamartiniere, Andy Guinn; his sisters, Annie Huthnance, Clara Roy, and Edna Rhymes; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and the family favorite, Charlie the Chihuahua.
A private family service may be held at a later date.
