A Celebration of Life for Anna Mae Ford, age 106, of Marksville, Louisiana, will begin on December 6 th , 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Community Church Baptist in Marksville, with a visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. and lasting until time of service. A Wake Service will be held on Friday, December 5 th , 2025, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville from 6:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Congregational Baptist Church Cemetery in Moncla.

Anna Mae “T-Neen” Johnson Ford was born to the late Stanford “Dad” Johnson and Annie Lou Simon Johnson on January 1, 1919. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. She became a member of St. Mary Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death. She was the mother of the church.

Anna, lovingly called Ma-Me by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, married Lincy “Nu” Ford in March 1943 in Bordelonville, Louisiana. Together, they had thirteen children.

She leaves to mourn eight sons and two daughters-Lancy Ford, Jr. of Alexandria, LA, Melvin Ford of Houston, TX, Lue A. Williams of Alexandria, La, Freddie Ford, Sr. (Magnolia), Harold Ford (Tammy), Rev. Dr. Gary L. Ford, Sr. (Wanda) all of Marksville, LA, Ruby Nell Prevot of Wichita, Kansas, Charles Ford, Sr. (Gennetta), of Marksville, LA, Oran Ford (Annie) of Shreveport, LA, and Dr. Kenneth Ford of Baton Rouge, LA., her daughter-in-law, Savannah Ford,41 (+) grandchildren, 81(+)great-grandchildren 34(+) great-great grandchildren, one god-son, Rev. Lawrence Porterie, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Marion David Ford and Standford Ford, and her daughter, Priscilla Ann Ford Greenhouse, her husband, Lincy Ford, one sister Madolia “Toosie” Porterie, two son-in-laws, Freddie Williams and Reuben Prevot, two daughter in-laws, Beverly Ford and Martha Ford and her best friend Rosa “T-Tub” Lavalais.

The arrangements have been entrusted through Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville, Louisiana.
