Agnes Andrews Batiste, 85, Marksville

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Mrs. Agnes Andrews Batiste will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at St. Richards Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Abraham Varghese officiating. Interment will be held at St. Richards Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.

Mrs. Batiste, age 85, of Marksville, passed away on Thursday, March 14th, 2024 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Batiste; parents, Fredrick Andrews, Sr. and Agnes Lavalais; one son, Allen Batiste; three brothers, Joe Andrews, Fredrick Andrews, Jr., Willie Andrews; four sisters, Josie Mae Lee, Elsie Austin, Martha Guillory, and Mary Holmes.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Timothy Batiste of Marksville, LA., Tony Batiste (Debrah) of Frisco, TX, Carl Batiste of Dallas, GA.; one daughter, Annette Lyons of Rosenberg, TX.; two sisters, Josline Jacob of Louisville, KY. and Carrie Prier of Toledo, AL. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, seven great grand-children, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.
