Alva Raymond Thomas “Art” , 78, Cottonport

It is with great sadness that Mr. Alva Raymond Thomas “Art” passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 with his loving family around his bedside. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, LA.

Mr. Thomas, age 78, of Cottonport, LA. was born on February 3, 1945 in Davenport, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Michael Thomas; parents, Harry and Bertha Linzay Thomas; daughter, Tammy Ardion.

Those left to cherish his memory are his stepsons, Billy Tigner (Libby), Mark Tigner (Charlene), and Michael Tigner (Melinda); son, Troy Thomas; daughter, Hope Achord. He also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
