Anna Claire Mayeux,78, Moreauville

Funeral Mass for Anna Claire Mayeux of Moreauville will begin at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moreauville with Fr. Brian Seiler officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Anna Claire Mayeux, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville. Anna was a devout Catholic and a member of the Moreauville Ladies Altar Society. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them any chance she had. Throughout her life, bingo was her greatest pastime. She often supported the local community bingos and continued to play every day while in the nursing home.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Chris James of Moreauville, Michael James (Buffy) of Plaucheville, & Maurice Mayeux, III (Monique) of Moreauville; stepchildren: Ricky Mayeux (Faye) of Plaucheville, Robby Mayeux (Jane) of Marksville, & Lisa Mayeux Polito (Steve) of Pineville; sisters, Darleen Gittere of Forth Worth, TX, Mary Reggio of Hammond, & Patricia Bairnsfather of Buras. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Mayeux, Jr.; parents, Raymond E. & Claire Koeing Bairnsfather; siblings, Kathlyn Duplan, Herbert Bairnsfather, Alvin Bairnsfather, Raymond Bairnsfather, & George Bairnsfather.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 12:00pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville.
