Antonina “Nina” Fanara, of O’ Fallon, MO, formerly of Bunkie

Antonina “Nina” Fanara, of O’ Fallon, MO, formerly of Bunkie, LA, passed away on
Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the age of 85. Devoted mother of Fortunato (Gina) Fanara,
Anthony (Millie) Fanara, Sarina Fanara Cummings, Phil (Michelle) Fanara, and Rosie Fanara;
loving grandmother of Philip (Xuening) Fanara, Emily Fanara, Kimberly Fanara, Antonino
Cummings, Dominic Fanara, Joseph Fanara, Antonina Fanara, Gina (Brandon) Juneau, and
Miles (Kristy) McDonald; treasured great-grandmother of Brayden, Jacob, and Kinley; dear
sister of Bernie (Mary) Geraci; and loving aunt and friend to many.
Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Philip A. Fanara, Sr.; parents, Anthony and Rose
Fanara; great-granddaughter, Gracelyn McDonald; brothers, Leonard (Mickey) Geraci and
Joseph (Betty) Geraci; and sister Rosalie (the late Arthur) Loscuito.
Nina was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Legion of Mary, Pink Lady, and
Altar Society with Saint Anthony of Padua in Bunkie, LA.
Nina enjoyed knitting, reading, and playing games, especially on her iPad. She loved spending
time with her grandchildren, often inviting them over for swimming and ice cream. More than
anything, Nina loved having her family together. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
