Ashley Franklin, 38, Marksville

Funeral service for Mrs. Ashley Shamar Sampson Franklin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moreauville, LA. with Fr. Brian Seiler officiating. Entombment will be held at Sacred Heart Mausoleum #1. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mrs. Franklin, age 38, of Marksville, LA., passed away on Sunday, April 10th, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Ashley is proceeded in death by her stepfather, Dale Barbin; paternal grandparents, John Austin Sr. and Eunice Bonton.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Cedrick Franklin of Marksville, LA; sons, Starkeis Prier of Marksville, LA. (Alexia Adams) and Starlon Prier, Jr. of Palm Springs, CA; daughters, Aubree Franklin of Marksville, LA. and C’naiya Franklin of Mansura, LA.; parents, Melissa Sampson Barbin of Marksville, LA. and John Austin, Jr. (Melissa) of Moreauville, LA.; brother, Demarcus Dobison of Houston TX.; maternal grandparents, Larry Sr. and Inez Sampson of Marksville, LA.; mother and father in law, Arthur Sr. and Jennifer Franklin; step grandparents in law, Berman and Yolanda Barbin, and Marjorie Ivory; God parents, Richard Alexander and Iris Harmason; God children, Deonte’ Pierite, Marshall Sampson, Jr., Jahn’iah Victorian, Nahlaa Harmason, Olivia Prevot, and Devonta Perry. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, extended family and close friends.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Deonte’ Pierite, Quincey Snyder, Jr. Leonard Sampson, Jr., Colby Joshua, Von Alexander, Kendrick Franklin, Gerard Bell, Quinton Fulton, and Harold Pierite, Jr.
