Barbara Juneau LaCombe, 80, Echo

Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Barbara Juneau LaCombe will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales with Father Dwight DeJesus officiating. Interment will be at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mrs. Barbara Juneau LaCombe, age 80, of Echo LA., passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Hessmer Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lee LaCombe; parents, Edwin and Pearl Ducote Juneau; two brothers, Gene Guillot and Kenneth Juneau.

Mrs. Lacombe was a lifelong resident of Echo. Echo was always her beloved home where she served as a postmaster for twenty years. She taught 1st grade Catechism for several years where she led numerous classes through their First Communion. She also served as a Girl Scout troop leader. Mrs. Barbara loved to dance, read and laugh.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Gregory LaCombe of Echo; daughter, Lisa Hebert of Marksville; significant other, A.P. Guillory; two sisters, Juanita Juneau of Terre Haute, Indiana and Kathleen Guillot of Walker, LA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Dondi Lacombe, Jeff Guillot, Brodey Guillot, Parker Causey, Loney Broussard and Gwen LaCombe.
