Funeral Mass for Beatrice Jeansonne Smith of Simmesport will begin at 12:00pm on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport with Fr. Paul Kunnumpuram & Rev. James Wynn officiating. Burial will follow at the Christ the King Cemetery.

Beatrice J. Smith, age 95, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Bayou Chateau Nursing Home in Simmesport.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Geraldine (Milburn) Gautreaux and Kenneth (Juanita) Smith; grandchildren: Sheila (Shane) Stelly, Glenn (Jennifer) Gautreaux, Shana (Gary) Theriot, Stephen Smith, and Scotty (Chantel) Smith; great-grandchildren: Shelby Stelly, Kaleb Stelly, Garrett Gautreaux, Anna Gautreaux, Heidi (Paul) Grimes, Hope Theriot, Kallie Smith, Lydia Smith, and Sadie Smith; great-great-grandchildren: Easton Stelly, Makayla Stelly, and Halie Grimes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Smith; parents, Florien Jeansonne, Sr. & Norma Jeansonne; brothers, Jimmy Jeansonne, Chester Jeansonne, Vorica Jeansonne, Florien Jeansonne, Jr., and Sidney Jeansonne; sisters, Cora Ducote, Georgette Lemoine, and Julius English.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am until 12:00pm on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport.
