Betty Mayeaux, 80, Hessmer

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Betty Jane Mayeaux will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer, LA. with Father Derek Ducote officiating. Entombment will be held at the St. Alphonsus Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.

Mrs. Mayeaux, age 80, of Hessmer, LA., passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Valley View Healthcare Facility in Marksville, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Mayeaux, Sr.; parents, Uben and Selma Cooper Dubrock; son, Fred Mayeaux, Jr.; brothers, Joseph Dubrock and James Dubrock; daughter-n-law, Kim Guillot Mayeaux.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Brenda Lamartiniere (Landfried) of Fifth Ward, LA; sister, Ann Normand (Kevin) of Hessmer, LA; 4 grandchildren, Brandon Lamartiniere (Nikki), Bradley Lamartiniere, April Minyard (Ben), Lacey Reis (Mike); 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Luke Minyard, Carl Mayeaux, Kevin Normand, Benny Minyard, Bradley Lamartiniere, Brandon Lamartiniere, and Mike Reis.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville with recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. with Father Edwin Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will reopen on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
