Bobby Moses, 71, Cottonport

Bobby J. Moses age 71 of Cottonport passed away on August 20th 2022 . Mr. Moses passed away suddenly in an automobile accident near Hessmer . He is preceded in death by his parents Elton & Eola Moses, his son Christian Aaron Moses,sister Ura Mae Richardson, and brother's Kenneth and Aaron Moses. He is survived by his only living child April Moses of Lafayette La and only 3 grandchildren he loved dearly . His only grandchildren are Sophia & Cale Hebert of Lafayette and Gabriel Moses of Marksville. He is also survived by many nieces, Nephews, and great nieces and great Nephews. Bobby led a simple life and was not a materialistic man. He played drums and sang when he was old enough to hold drumsticks in his hands. He was a very talented musician and led all his nieces and Nephews and a brother to start a career in music. Bobby was super proud of the talent his niece and Nephews held throughout this lifetime all by following in his footsteps . Bobby now has his last follower in his footsteps who is his granddaughter Sophia Hebert of Lafayette who did perform with Acadiana Talent and School of Rock . Sophia is the oldest child of April Moses. The family will have a "Celebration of Life Service" to honor him on Sunday October 16th at 2pm at the CYO in Cottonport, Louisiana . The family welcomes all family and friends . Music will be provided by the family and so will food, drinks, and cake. Bobby was a free spirit and had a heart of gold . He was a die hard LSU fan and Saints fan . In his honor we will casually dress in your choice of LSU or Saints tees or shirts or even jerseys.
Come ready to swap memories and laugh rather than cry and be sad because we know he is in an amazing place with the Lord . Anyone wanting to donate to help pay for his service can place a card in the card box at the service . Any amount will help and show appreciation. The family would like to give special thanks to two of his best friends which were Mr. Peter John Lemoine and Mr. Kenneth Juneau. Peter and Kenneth never once let Bobby do without and was always there with the greatest friendship a person can hold with true loyalty. Lastly , special thanks to Mr. David Lemoine who has passed away but remained Bobby's friend for over 50 years. The bond the two held was forever and we are glad they get to rejoice together now .
