Bolden Waits, 85, Big Cane

Gravesides services for Bolden Green Waits will be Friday, February 18, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Big Cane Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Chris Campo officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
Mr. Waits, age 85, of Big Cane, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at the Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, having served in Germany. He was a retired rock barge supervisor. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Belle Waits; his two brothers, Joe Waits and John Waits, Jr. and his grandson, Brandon Waits.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Norma Waits of Dupont; his daughter, Paula Waits of Dupont; his son, Bolden Waits, Jr. of Florida; his three sisters, Jessie Beard of Dupont, Myrtle Billeaudeau of Baton Rouge and Missie Billeaudeau of Jackson, LA; his brother, William Waits of Monroe; his granddaughter, Erika Colligan and husband, Daniel Colligan, Jr., of Eunice and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Kevin Hicks, Daniel Colligan, Jr., Julius Beard, Jr., Charles Beard, Eddie Beard, Jr. and Daniel Colligan.
