Brenda Dauzat, 64, Marksville native

Funeral Services for Ms. Brenda Sayer Dauzat will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers with Rev. David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Genevieve Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.
Ms. Dauzat, age 64, formerly of Marksville, passed away on May 18, 2021 in Gulfport, Mississippi.
She leaves to cherish her memory, mother, Lou Ida LaPrairie of Marksville; sons, Josh Dauzat (Dasha) of Saucier, MS., Cody Dauzat (Shelby) of Richland, MS.; brother, Tommy Sayer (Pam) of Brouillette; sisters, Sandra Watson (Russell) Effie, Arleen Sayer of Brouillette, and Jenny Sayer of Effie. Three grandchildren, Madelyn, Braylynn, and Hadley Dauzat; special friends, Chris and Julie Bernard and numerous extended family members and close friends.
Ms. Dauzat is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Dauzat; father, Jennings Paul Sayer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning until shortly before time of the funeral in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Randy Dauzat, Roddy Dauzat, Russell Lynn Watson, Ethan Sayer, Leon Lachney, Jr., and Brad LaPrairie.
