Buvens Michel,93, Hessmer

Funeral Mass for Buvens Raymond Michel of Hessmer will begin at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer with Fr. Edwin Hernandez-Rodriguez officiating. Entombment & military honors will follow at St. Alphonsus Mausoleum.

Buvens R. Michel, age 93, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at his home in Hessmer. Buvens served honorably in the U.S. Military for 43 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 70 years, Clara Michel; children, Brenda Michel Winstead, Deborah (Leann) Michel, Ronald (Regina) Michel, and Bryan Michel; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Michel & Florence Laborde Michel; sister, Amy Rose Juneau; and great-grandchild, Liam Ledoux.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 10:00pm with rosary prayer at 6:00pm on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. Visitation will resume at 8:00am until 10:30am on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
