EFFIE - Funeral services for Mr. Camile Gaspard, Jr. will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville with Dr. Steve Speers officiating. Interment will be in French Cemetery in Effie. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume at 8 a.m. until shortly before funeral service on Monday.
Mr. Gaspard, age 86, of Effie, passed away at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria on Friday, June 29, 2018. He was born on March 4, 1932.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Camile Felix and Hattie Guillory Gaspard. 
 Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 29 years, Nelwyn Louise Gaspard of Effie; two sons, Gary (Joan) Gaspard of Pontchatoula; Darryl (Karen) Gaspard of Baker; one daughter, Deborah (David) Bouterie of Hammond; one stepson, J. B. “Buster” (Shelia) Ryland, Jr. of Effie; nine grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and one step-great-grandchild.
