Charles Middlebrooks, 85, Bunkie

Funeral services for Charles Ray Middlebrooks, Sr. will be Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Eunice with Rev. David Newton officiating. Burial will be in the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
The family requests that visitation be observed at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church - 1154 Academy Dr. - Eunice, LA on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Mr. Middlebrooks, age 85, of Bunkie, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at his residence. He was a cattle rancher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Miller Middlebrooks; his son, Allan Roy Middlebrooks and his two grandsons, Justin Foret and Jeremy Slocum.
He is survived by his three daughters, Christine Annette Prather and husband, Barry, of Eunice, Belinda Kay Foret and husband, Leroy, of Plaucheville and Rosalind Ann Middlebrooks of Marksville; his two sons, Charles Ray Middlebrooks, Jr. and wife, Bernadine, of Bunkie and Roderic L. Middlebrooks of Bunkie; his two sisters, Myrtis Lee Dudley and husband, Ronald, of Cypress, TX and Margaret Vidrine of Bunkie; his two brothers, Gerald Middlebrooks of Bunkie and Norman Allen Middlebrooks and wife, Sharon, of Eunice; twenty grandchildren, twenty-eight grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
