Cleveland St. Romain, Sr., 87, Hessmer

Funeral Mass for Cleveland St. Romain, Sr. of Hessmer will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Hessmer.

Cleveland St. Romain, Sr., age 87, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Riviere De Soleil Community Care Center in Mansura.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Josephia Dauzat St. Romain of Hessmer; children, Cleveland St. Romain, Jr. of Hessmer, Patricia Cook of Hessmer, Jeffery St. Romain of Hessmer, Vincent St. Romain, Sr. of Marksville, Melissa (Ronnie) Courville of Marksville; sister, Rita Desselle of Marksville. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers honored to serve: Ronnie Courville, Jr., Andrew Fontenot, Sr., Vincent St. Romain, Jr., Dustin St. Romain, Brandon Cook, and Bailey Cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philogene & Clementine Smith St. Romain; brothers, Clerbert St. Romain, Sr., Paul St. Romain, Sr., Leonard St. Romain; sisters, Yola Lachney and Ola Gaspard; son-in-law, Douglas Cook, Sr.

Visitation will begin at 8:00 am until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Riviere De Soleil Community Care Center and All Saints Hospice for their generous hospitality and loving care.
