Darrell Simon, 72, Moreauville

Funeral services for Mr. Darrell Paul Simon will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moreauville with Fr. Brian Seiler officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. Simon, age 72, of Moreauville, LA passed from this life on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed watching a good football game in his chair, and watching his redbirds on the porch. He adored his grandchildren & great-grandchildren, and never missed a chance to spend time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delton Joseph and Rita Mayeux Simon; his great grandson, Delton Newman Diaville.

Those left to cherish his memory include is wife, Donna Dupuis Simon; daughter, Meegan Diaville (Phillip) of Moreauville; sister, Tammy Gaspard (Dwayne) of Moreauville; brother, Carl Simon (Brenda) of Fifthward.

He is also survived by grandchildren, Bailey Diaville (Victoria), Seth Diaville (Kaleigh), Morgan Diaville (Cody), great-grandchildren, Addison Diaville, & Hayven Diaville.
