Deborah (Debbie) Gauthier, 70, Cottonport

Deborah (Debbie) Gauthier, 70, of Cottonport, LA. passed away on April 18, 2023 at Bunkie General Hospital.

Debbie was born February 5, 1953 in Avoyelles Parish to Emile and Pearl Pepiton. She married Lloyd Gauthier on June 18, 1971.

Debbie is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; father, Emile Pepiton; mother, Pearl Pepiton and brother Chad Pepiton.

Debbie had a passion for gardening, working in her flowerbeds and she never passed up an opportunity for a therapeutic shopping session. Debbie was a beautiful person inside and out and her vivacious laugh was contagious. She spent her life caring for and helping others, whether it was cooking a meal for friends or counseling friends in need. Undoubtedly, she made a positive impact on many lives. She will be forever missed.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her daughter, Kristy (Blaine) Dauzat of Cottonport, LA.; daughter, Mandy (James) Stevenson of Lumberton, TX.; granddaughter Morgan (Landon) Stewart of Breaux Bridge, LA.; granddaughter Haley Dauzat of Cottonport, LA.; sister, Roxanne (Tommy) Marchand of Pineville, LA.; and Angela Mayeaux of Pineville, LA, along with several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Saint Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church, 820 Front Street, Cottonport, LA. 71327. Following the memorial service, there will be a reception at the CYO.
