Debra Desselle McNeal, 68, Marksville

Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Debra Desselle McNeal will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Genevieve Catholic Church with Father Abraham Palakkattuchira officiating. Interment will be held at St. Genevieve Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, LA.

Mrs. McNeal, age 68, of Marksville, LA. passed on Sunday, October 29, 2023 in Avoyelles Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Holland Pete Desselle and Zella Bernard; grandson, Trinidy Jaxon Maricle; brother-in-law, Kenneth Brooks.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Robin McNeal (Paul Galland) of Marksville; Hollie Dauzat (Chad) of Marksville, Valerie McNeal of Oakdale; sisters, Jeanette Lusebrink of Kansas, JoAnn Brooks of Choudrant, and Mary Alice Billberry of Ruston; grandchildren, Laney Brouillette (Landen), Abigail Dauzat, Macy Dauzat, Truce Maricle, Trenton Maricle, and Viper Maricle.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Chad Dauzat, Paul Galland, Truce Maricle, Landon Loyd, Don Brevelle, and Taylor Maddox. Honorary pallbearer will be Trinton Maricle.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in St. Genevieve Catholic Church.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Avoyelles Hospital, especially Brenda Bordelon Lemoine, and the St. Genevieve’s Ladies Altar Society.
