Dewey Joseph Bernard, Jr., 77, Mansura

Funeral services for Mr. Dewey Joseph Bernard, Jr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville with Deacon Ken Primeaux officiating. Interment will be held at the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.

Mr. Bernard, age 77, of Mansura, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 in Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey, Sr. and Aliene Dauzat Bernard; brother, Don P. Bernard; sisters, Audrey Chenevert, and Hazel Cobb.
Those left to cherish his memory are his Wife, Brenda Schexneider Bernard; Sons, Tim P. Bernard (Greta), and Shelby Bernard (Isabella) both of Mansura; stepson, Derek Brouillette of Cottonport; sister, Susan DeCuir (Tommy) of Marksville; grandchildren, Tyler Bernard (Kaley) of Hickory Hill, Kayla Moreau (Casey) of Hickory Hill, Derek Brouillette, Jr. of Marksville, Jacob Brouillette (Christina) of Mansura, and Kirk Brouillette of Cottonport; great grandchildren, Ben Bernard of Hickory Hill, and Evelyn Brouillette of Mansura.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Tyler Bernard, Casey Moreau, Jacob Brouillette, Tommy DeCuir, Vick Lemoine, and Adam Lemoine.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville.
