Donald Michael Daigrepont, 72, Marksville

Funeral services for Mr. Donald Michael Daigrepont will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville with Father Dan O’Connor officiating. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Cottonport, LA. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, LA.

Mr. Daigrepont, age 72, of Marksville, LA. passed on Monday, October 23, 2023 in Avoyelles Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Allie Mae Neucere Daigrepont; brother, Martin Lacombe; sisters, Julia Landry and Susan Daigrepont.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Faye Normand Daigrepont of Marksville; son, Shawn Brady Lachney (Rhonda) of Natchitoches; daughters, Donna Alford (Andrew) of Youngsville and Jill Bordelon (Patrick) of Bordelonville; brother, Bobby Daigrepont (Patricia) of Cottonport; sisters, Betty Ponthier (David) of Bunkie, Melissa Lacombe (Travis) of Cottonport, Melinda Prudhomme (Greg) of Bunkie, and Bernice Blackwell (Donald) of Walker; grandchildren, Stephen Marcantel (Alyssa), Christopher Marcantel, Laken Bordelon, Wyatt Bordelon, Adalyn Alford, and Andrew Alford, III.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be help at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
