Donald Parrott, 68, Marksville

Memorial services for Mr. Donald Lee Parrott will be held on Wednesday, January 4th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville with Father Dan O’Connor officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. Parrott, age 68, of Marksville passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Uther and Eva Bailey Parrott.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Adeline “Dee” Brouillette Parrott; sons, Donald Gordon Parrott of Leesville, Chris Parrott of Marksville, and Morgan Marcotte of Marksville; brothers, Dervis Parrott of Dallas, TX, Gervis Parrott of (Lois) of Georgetown, LA, David Parrott (Cheryl) of Ragley, and Dennis Parrott of Rosepine; sisters, Janice Gaines of Greensboro, NC, and Donna Parrott of Deridder. He also leaves behind one grandchild, Jadon Parrott.

As a young man, Donald proudly served our country in the United States Army. After is military service he went on to work for Boise Cascade and later retired as an Assistant Supervisor. His passion was being with his family, and enjoyed spending time together with them as often as possible. He also loved the outdoors, and working in his garden. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Services on Wednesday, January 4, 2022 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.
