Dorlora “Weetee” Dauzat, 91,Marksville

Funeral services for Dolora “Weetee” Dauzat will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, in Moncla, LA with Rev. Albi Mulloth officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Kramer of Fifth Ward
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m at Kramer of Fifth Ward. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Dorlora “Weetee” Dauzat, 91, of Marksville passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Webster Dauzat; her daughter, Nina Dauzat; her grandson, Corey Dauzat; and her granddaughter, Leslie Bordelon.
Weetee was a devoted Catholic and a parishioner at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a lifetime member for 50 years with the Altar Society. Weetee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Her fondest moment that she treasured was her family Sunday dinner after church. She enjoyed planting flowers, her whole yard “was covered in flowers”. Weetee was known in her neighborhood as the little old lady who pick up branches and burned them.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Gary Dauzat (Gertrude); her 5 grandchildren, John (Jamie), Brandon, Becky (Derrick), Brian, and Wayne (Debbie); and her 8 great-grandchildren, Madison, Payton, Webster, Eli, McKenzie, Madelyn, Abby, and Brennan.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Wayne Johnson, Brennan Johnson, John Gary Dauzat, Brandon Dauzat, Farrell (FP) Bordelon and Derrick Scroggs. Honorary Pallbearer will be Brian Dauzat.
