Dorothy Bernard, 84, Cottonport

Funeral Service for Dorothy Bernard of Cottonport will take place at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Sunday, December 5th, 2021 beginning at 1:00pm with Rev. John Wiltse officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Mausoleum in Mansura with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating.

Dorothy Bernard, age 84, passed away at her home in Cottonport on Thursday, December 2nd 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, James Bernard (Georgia), Keith Bernard (Ingrid), and Janice Bernard; two sisters, Lee Hardwick and Louise Armand. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Robbie Bernard, Jake Bernard, Jeremy Bernard, John Garrett, Jarrod Tidwell, and Caiden Billiott.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Irma Dauzat Beauclair; granddaughter, Erica Bernard; brothers and sisters, Mildred Hardwick, Davis Beauclair, Tony Beauclair, Elliot Beauclair, Ury Beauclair, and Hilary Beauclair; and the father of her children, Elton Bernard, Sr.

Visitation will begin at 11:00am on Sunday, December 5th, at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Cottonport.
