Edward Carter, 82, Marksville

Funeral services for Mr. Edward Gaines Carter, Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 334 Acton Rd., Marksville, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services.

with Pastor Roger Cole officiating. Burial will be held in the Cushman Cemetery in Marksville, La.

Mr. Carter, 82, of Marksville, was born on May 10, 1939 in San Antonio, Tx. and passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his residence in Marksville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Prilla Carter; parents, Edward and Helen Carter; brother, Richard Carter; step-son, Acklin Boudreaux; sisters, Anna “Louise” Carter Lachney, Norma Lee Socia, Betty Jean Carter and Diane Carter and step-daughter, Loretta Nelton.

Survivors include two sons, Edward Carter III of Opelousas and Brian Keith Carter of Houma; step-sons Terry Boudreaux and Daniel Boudreaux; step-daughter, Roxanne Cina; one brother, Willie “Bill” Carter of Big Bend; two sisters, Eunice Cole Belledeau and Martha “Jeannette” Reynolds of Greensburg and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
