Memorial services for Mr. Efton Joseph Thomas, Jr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville, LA. with Pastor Gayle Carter officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mr. Efton Joseph Thomas, Jr., age 62, of Mansura, LA. passed away at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
Mr. Efton is preceded in death by his wife, Natasha Augustine Thomas; father, Efton Thomas, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Lester “Bascom” Batiste; maternal grandmother, Virginia Corner Batiste; paternal grandparents, Carlton and Armose Thomas; aunts, Ophelia Batiste, Mary Lee Jackson, Alice Wright, Ella Mae Thomas Jack, and Betty Thomas Pinkney; uncle, Lester “Jerry” Batiste; one niece, Lindsey Thomas.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Batiste Thomas of Marksville, LA.; daughters, Sholiene Armstrong of Simmesport, LA. and Amber Thomas of Marksville, LA.; son, Adam Thomas of Marksville, La; sisters, Daisey Fryer of Baltimore, MD., Vernell Thomas of Marksville, LA.; aunts, Sophie Batiste of Houston, TX., Marcia Thomas Scott, and Bertha Thomas Arvie of Port Arthur, TX. niece, Fanchon Fryer of Baltimore, MD.; nephew, Brandon Thomas of Marksville, LA.; brother-in-law, Brad Augustine (Towanda) of Baton Rouge, LA.; special friends, Jervis Jacobs and William Barker; great uncle to Brayla, Daykwon, Jontae, Noah, and Johnathan all of Marksville, LA.
