Emily Jacob, 79, of Marksville

Funeral services for Emily Ford Jacob will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Congregational Baptist Church at 980 Hwy 1192, Marksville, LA with Reverend Ossie Clark officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Congregational Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy 107, Marksville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Congregational Baptist Church.
Ms. Jacob, age 79, of Marksville entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Ford, Sr. and Ida Andrew Ford; brothers, George L. Ford, Jimmy Ford; sisters, Waver Lavalais, Mary L. Augustine, Lovely Martin, and Jean Ford.
Those left to cherish her memory include all of her sons and daughters, Kevin Jacob (Ashley) of Cottonport, Shaft Jacob (Calisha) of Marksville, Perry Jacob of Marksville, Samuel Jones, Jr. of Cottonport, Gary Jones of Mansura; Shantelle Jacob (Lon) of Marksville, Annetta Jacob of Baton Rouge, Linda Jones of Baton Rouge; brothers, David Ford of Marksville, Remus Ford (Lydia) of Marksville. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Adrian Sullivan, Travis Ford, Remus Ford, Shafter Ford, Darryel Crockett and Lon Rogers.
