Ethel Mae Williams, 96, Mansura

Funeral service for Ethel Mae Williams of Mansura will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at First Evening Star Baptist Church in Cottonport with Pastor Greg Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Little Zion Baptist Cemetery in Longbridge.

Ethel Mae Williams, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Colonial Nursing Home in Marksville. She was born November 25, 1925 in Longbridge. Mrs. Ethel accepted Christ as her personal Savior at First Evening Star Baptist Church where she was a member of the usher board and the mother of the church until her health began to decline.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Janice Fisher, Ernestine Williams Jones, Dianna Gail Moore, Sterling Williams, Jr., and Earl Benny Williams. She also raised Janice (Roland) Fisher, Curtis Williams, Jr., and Gerald Moore. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Curtis Williams, Jr., Donnell Turner, Roland Fisher, Gerald Moore, Mark Eldridge, and Jaddus Moore. Honorary pallbearers: Earl Benny Williams, Casey Williams, Lester Andrews, Sterling Williams, Jr., Lee Coco, and Mark Eldridge, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her love of her life, her husband, Sterling Williams, Sr.; children, Claudiebee Williams, Curtis Williams, and Calvert Williams; parents, Albert & Annie Mae Lockwood.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am until the time of service on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at First Evening Star Baptist Church in Cottonport.
