Frances Valant Wallace, 62, Simmesport

The funeral service for Frances Valant Wallace of Simmesport will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Odenburg. The burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Frances Valant Wallace, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Tiffany Wallace and Joel Wallace both of Simmesport; her companion, Van Prout of Simmesport; siblings, Landry Valant, Earnest Valant, Landry “Jake” Valant, Jr., Dennis Valant, Ida Valant-Osborne, Chester Valant, Marilyn Valant all of Odenburg & Daniel Valant of Mansura. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 5 nieces & 2 nephews; 24 great-nieces & nephews; 1 great-great-niece.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Jermaine Pierre, Jeffery Valant, Juwan Valant, Dominque Wallace, Gerrad Gipson, & Landry Valant, III.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Landry Valant, Sr. & Leana Gipson Valant, and brother, Edward Charles Valant.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Odenburg.
