Geneva Kimball Rabalais, 91, Plaucheville native

Geneva Kimball Rabalais, age 91, a native of Plaucheville LA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Grace Health and Rehab Nursing Home in Slaughter, LA. She was a lifelong time member of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church. She was a long-time member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was a great cook, and baker, and was especially known for her pralines! She was also an excellent seamstress. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

The visitation will begin at 8:30am until 10:00am on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville. The Rosary will immediately follow. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am with Fr. Martin Laird officiating. Entombment will follow at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Cemetery.

She was survived by one son: Everett, Rabalais of Greenwell Springs, LA; 2 daughters, Lee Ann Favaron of Greenwell Springs, LA and Connie Tillman, (Jim) of Ethel LA. She had 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Ryan Rabalais; son, Thomas W. Rabalais, Sr.; grandson, Thomas W. Rabalais, Jr. “Wayne”; son-in-law, Gerald Favaron; parents, Shelby & Caville Aymond Kimball; brother, Woodrow Kimball; sisters, Bernice Kimball, Leah Oliver, Bernadine Kyle, and Marlene Crouse.

Those serving as pallbearers: Graeson Henagan, Ethan Heroman, Andrew Tillman, Peyton Corpus, Jackson Felker, and Glenn Henagan; and honorary pallbearers: Jim Tillman, Ryan Henagan, and Cooper Rodriguez.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Escude Funeral Home (318-964-2324) 6608 Porterie St. Mansura, LA 71350.
